After PokéXciting!, KLCC Park still suits a short stamp-rally walk

What remains after KLCC’s September Pokémon event, how the rally dates differ, and a short LRT-to-park outing with cooling breaks.

Yes—if you want a short KLCC Park walk with an in-game souvenir, rather than another festival day. On the announced schedule, 4 October 2026 is still within the local GO Stamp Rally’s one-month window. The PokéXciting! festival itself was scheduled for 12–13 September, so don’t plan an October visit around its booths, stage performances or drone show. Those belonged to the two-day programme, not the rally extension. (Pokémon GO announcement, festival programme)

Which stamps remain, and for how long?

KLCC Park has two separately scheduled rallies:

  • The local five-stamp rally: designs inspired by Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu and Vileplume. Collecting all five rewards an encounter with turquoise-costumed PokéXciting! Pikachu with a local Location Background. The KL announcement says this rally remains for one month after the event date; the wider announcement specifies one month after the event begins. (Official KL guide, wider announcement)
  • The cross-region rally: Kuala Lumpur’s single Pikachu stamp is at KLCC Park, in front of the Esplanade. Its published collection period is 12 September 2026–11 September 2029. Collecting this stamp awards its own turquoise Pikachu encounter with a local background—you do not need to visit the other cities to earn that KL encounter. This is the announced option for a visit after the local rally ends. (Official cross-region schedule)

For the local rally, around 12 October is a planning marker derived from the one-month wording, not a confirmed expiry time. Specialist database Serebii instead lists 14 October as the end date. Near that boundary, don’t make a dedicated journey that depends on completing the five-stamp rally; choose the outing only if the park walk and longer-running stamp would also appeal. (Serebii listing)

Already collected a stamp during the festival? You cannot collect that stamp or its rewards again, though the location remains usable as a regular PokéStop. (Pokémon GO help)

Keep the outing compact

Allow 45–60 minutes as a planning budget, not a promise that you will finish every stamp:

  1. Arrive at KLCC LRT station on the Kelana Jaya Line. Take the exit signed for Suria KLCC and go through the mall rather than adding a longer street approach. (Suria KLCC directions)
  2. Start on the park-facing side near the Esplanade. Check the cross-region stamp first, then decide whether available local-rally stops justify more walking. The app shows stamp icons at nearby participating PokéStops; spin their Photo Discs to collect digital stamps. This is not a staffed paper-stamping trail. (Pokémon GO help)
  3. Walk a short section, then return to Suria for a cooling or meal break. Prefer late afternoon over a long midday circuit. Carry water, stop out of the pedestrian flow when using your phone, and shorten the walk if heat or rain makes it uncomfortable.

Suria’s park page lists 10am–10pm daily, with shelters, benches and walking paths; the mall also lists 10am–10pm opening. An afternoon park-and-mall pairing avoids relying on early access. (Park information, mall hours)

With children, don’t promise playground time

The park has no entrance fee, but Kuala Lumpur with Kids reports that playground signage indicates a maintenance closure until 29 March 2027. Treat this as a walking-and-stamps outing, not a guaranteed playground visit. (Local park guide)

If you already have a tower visit planned, attach the walk to that same KLCC stop rather than making a separate journey; our Petronas Towers visit plan covers that pairing.
